The Team
About us
Our team is made up of dedicated individuals with deep passion for creating a better world. The team is made up of students from Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Mechatronics background. The team is generally split into the administrative team and the built team. The administrative team consists of both the team manager and the communications manager with a handful of team members to help them. The built team, on the other hand, is led by the logistics manager, and is responsible for designing and building the boat. Of course, the team structure is flexible, meaning that members from each teams help each other freely. There are also junior members who joined in to learn and help out. Dr. Chua (not shown in picture), the Coordinator for Electrical and Electronic programme of the University acts as the main advisor, supported by Dr. Almon Chai (not shown in picture), the Coordinator for Robotics and Mechatronics programme. Our aim is to design, build, and race an energy efficient boat to participate in HYDROCONTEST 2016!
Our Objective
This year, SwinSurfers returns with even more surprises. From computer-aided design to the fabrication of the boat, our team has put in tremendous amount of effort. Our ultimate objective is to manifest the notion of an efficient yet powerful craft. Striking a balance between the two is an endeavour our team has committed to attempt. Armed with expertise in various fields, our team constantly strives to advance, knocking on the door of innovation from day to day. In line with Swinburne University’s "Think Forward" spirit, we break free of conventional beliefs and devise plans to pave our way towards success.
